a warm welcome to Maple Cross JMI and Nursery
Welcome to Maple Cross JMI & Nursery, small in size but mighty in ambition. Our vision – “Reflect, Lead, Aspire” – permeates all aspects of school life.
As you walk around the school you will see well-mannered and well-behaved children. You will see an engaging, enriched curriculum supported by our state of the art infrastructure (visit our restaurant and dine in style or lose yourself in our outdoor natural play area), learning displays celebrating the children’s learning journey and a learning environment. There are further details of our ethos on the school website.
At Maple Cross we strive for academic excellence in all areas of the curriculum through setting challenging, but ultimately achievable targets, for all our learners. With a personalised approach to education, we dare to think differently and do what is best for each of our learners and their families.
We strongly believe that the success of Maple Cross is linked to the involvement of the whole school community. Working in partnership with parents, listening to children who are actively engaged in decisions and developments and valuing our wonderful and incredibly hardworking staff has ensured that we maximise all the resources and skills available to us. This in turn has helped create fantastic learning opportunities for all our children.
Currently, the school caters for pupils of all abilities from Nursery to Year 6 (this includes 30 hour nursery provision with our on-site pre-school partners, breakfast club and after-school clubs). There are approximately 170 pupils on roll in eight classes grouped by age.
It is a true privilege to be the Head Teacher of Maple Cross JMI and Nursery. We warmly invite you to come and visit the school during a working day by booking an appointment with the school office and we look forward to working with you to make a difference.
