Reception visit the Natural History Museum

What a fabulous day Reception have had! We travelled from Rickmansworth to South Kensington on the train to visit the Natural History Museum.  We visited to try and identify a piece of bone found in January which we thought may be from a dinosaur.  We found out today that it wasn’t from a dinosaur and we were extremely fortunate to be able to hold a real dinosaur bone part that is over 200 million years old.  The Natural History Museum are going to identify the bone for us and let us know next week what animal it is from.

We saw dinosaurs and lots of different mammals in the museum.  Reception can you remember what a mammal is?

The children were impeccably behaved and we were very proud of them.  They thoroughly enjoyed travelling on the train and exploring the museum.
