Stage Coach are running a new club at Maple Cross School commencing January 2017 – come along to ‘Have a Go Day’. Please see the details below.
Ofsted is visiting the school tomorrow, 22nd November. It is an opportunity for us to show what the school does to make a difference in Maple Cross.
Part of their inspection is to ask parents and carers for their views about the school. Your child will be coming home today with a letter from Ofsted explaining how you can make your views known. I attached a copy of the letter to this e-mail in case we have another downpour of rain at going-home time. I have also attached Ofsted’s parents’ inspection guide for you.
Please do go to the Ofsted website and give your views.
Come and enjoy the Maple Cross JMI & Nursery School’s annual firework display, Saturday 5th October, doors open at 5pm, fireworks starts at 6:15pm. BBQ and refreshments on sale during the event. Tickets available on the night.
Governors were very pleased with the on-going positive feedback from parents and asked us to share the details on the website. We will now add this to the parent ‘other info’ section of the Learning Hub. Watch out for more developments based on your feedback in the coming months. Thank you.
Further to my end of year letter coming out today, I wanted to share a section of the Headteacher’s report to governors that we can all be extremely proud of. Our Awe and Wonder Section shares the things the school community does that we don’t have to; the things the school community does that adds something extra to Maple Cross; the extra things we do to make the difference. We can all be very proud of our Community. Enjoy your summers and thank you.
Please find attached minutes from the recent PTA meeting where we said goodbye and a huge thank you to Mrs Wells for the many years of dedicated hard work in promoting and supporting the school through the PTA. We would like to welcome Mrs Laura Whyte who was elected Chairman leaving a vacancy for Vice Chair. This position has been filled by Mrs Nicky McHugh with an unanimous vote.
Saturday 23rd April – Spring Clean
COME AND HELP!!
On Saturday 23rd April we will be hosting our second annual big spring clean.
Last year many parents gave up their time and energy to help tidy our EYFS area. This year, to name a few, we will be tidying our woods, bike shelters, litter picking, gardening and some areas inside school.
Please join us between 9:30am – 11am to lend a hand.
