Today Mr Watson led a group of children to create faces on trees. Using a natural playdough recipe, the children worked in mixed year group pairs to create everything from funny to scary faces. Watch out when you next visit the woods!
This week group 1 and 5 worked collaboratively to create a new den. After reading the book Home by Carson Ellis we were inspired to build a shelter that would offer both practical and aesthetic appeal. The real challenge was making it strong enough to hold me!
I was blown away with the team work and sharing of ideas. All the children offered ideas and supported each other with the build.
Reception, Year 1 and Year 2, all joined forces this afternoon to kick off a new year of maple cross explorers. Group 4 greatly enjoyed creating their own nature necklaces. Working collaboratively and using problem solving skills to help them both collect and piece together their necklaces. Another fun afternoon of outdoor learning adventures!
