Today in Nursery the children dropped humpty dumpty and tried protect him from cracking!
Which material stopped the eggs from cracking? Why?
This afternoon Year 4 shared their home learning with each other. There was a variety of learning on display including Pandora’s boxes, ancient plates and masks, posters, fact files, models, laurel headwear and much more.
Using Piglet, the children were social and personal learners sharing their thoughts to help develop each others learning.
Last week Maple Cross Explorers took place in the pouring rain. Today there was glorious sunshine. What a contrast! Today some children really took a risk by trying something that they really found difficult.
This was the last week of the current activities and we are looking forward to new learning after the Easter holidays. What have you learnt during the sessions? What has been the most challenging area of the learning?
Over the last few weeks, Year 4 have been learning about Ancient Greece. Today they explored Greek food. They had to describe the foods by using all their senses. Every child took a risk by participating in the activity.
Year 4, can you tell me why the Greeks thought honey was so important?
Today many wonderful creations came into school for our egg competition. There were all different shapes and sizes and many very creative ideas. We look forward to announcing the winners in assembly on Friday. Many thanks to our PTA for donating prizes.
