So far in Chatty Maths we have solved problems about paths to take to school, decided which operation we would rather be and made decisions about where we would rather be. It has been great to hear all the discussions you have all been having in your classes. As a school we have said that one of the characteristics of problem solving is knowing there isn’t one way or one answer.
This half term, there will be 3 different Chatty Maths activities. One for EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
Below are the Chatty Maths activities you will be discussing in class. Talk to your friends and family and let me know what you think and why. Remember to use the speaking frame to share your views.
I think ____________ because _______________.
After discussing your thoughts, what characteristic of problem solving do you think you have used? Have you used any of our attributes to support you?
